We built Retsguide because access to free legal help should be easier.
Retsguide is a Danish company founded by a small team of lawyers, technologists, and product designers. Our mission is to make sure no one in Denmark has to face a legal problem alone, or pay for advice they don’t actually need.
Why we exist
Legal help shouldn't depend on what you can afford
Most people in Denmark never find out what they are entitled to. The rules run to millions of words, free legal aid is hard to locate, and a lawyer costs 1,500-3,000 kr an hour. So people give up on cases they could have won.
Retsguide closes that gap. Describe your situation in plain words and, in a couple of minutes, get a clear picture of your rights, the free help available, and your next step, at no cost.

We combine law, technology and communication to make legal help more accessible and easier to understand. We develop solutions that help people understand their situation, explore their options and take the next step.
We believe everyone should have a fair chance to understand their rights, even if they are not a lawyer themselves.

Free and independent
We do not sell you a lawyer. We show you every option, including the ones that cost nothing, and let you choose.
Your data stays in the EU
Your documents and case details are stored and processed entirely within the EU, fully GDPR compliant. Our AI runs under a data-processing agreement that forbids training on your case. Delete a case or your account and it is permanently purged after a 60 day undo window we keep no copies.
Built for Danish law
Every answer is grounded in Danish statutes and points you to the right complaint board, deadline, or office, not generic advice.
